FILI is a strategic advisory in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area specializing in M&A integration and organizational transformation. We help leaders navigate complexity by strengthening the human and cultural conditions that determine whether change delivers its intended value.
Our focus is what happens between strategy and execution: retaining critical talent, aligning leadership, and building the behavioral readiness needed to sustain results.
Our approach is grounded in hands-on transformation experience, organizational psychology, and behavioral science, bringing an independent perspective to the risks that can determine whether an integration or transformation succeeds.
We define success by decision clarity, leadership alignment, and behavioral readiness to deliver the intended value.
That is transformation with clarity, not crisis.
I founded FILI to bring hands-on experience leading complex M&A integrations and enterprise transformations across Fortune 500 and mid-market organizations to the leaders navigating them.
That experience taught me to recognize patterns others miss, focus on what matters when the stakes are high, and help leaders regain clarity when execution becomes uncertain.
It also revealed a consistent pattern: strategy rarely fails in design. It falters in execution, where human and organizational dynamics can become the greatest source of risk. Leadership alignment, behavioral readiness, and cultural dynamics can determine whether integration and transformation value is realized or lost.
FILI exists to surface those risks early, while leaders still have time to act.
We engage during M&A integration planning, before major investment decisions, and when early signals suggest a course correction is needed.
Our approach is strategic, evidence-based, and deliberately early. We do not wait for problems to surface in steering committee meetings. We work with executive teams while they still have time, options, and leverage to shape the outcome.
Our Engagement Path:
1. DISCOVERY
Understanding the transformation's strategic intent, M&A integration context, organizational dynamics, and leadership priorities.
2. ASSESSMENT
Independent evaluation of readiness, leadership alignment, organizational readiness, cultural dynamics through stakeholder engagement and structured analysis.
3. SYNTHESIS
Translating findings into clear insights and prioritized recommendations that leaders can act on.
4. ALIGNMENT
Leadership working sessions to pressure-test findings, build consensus, and establish clear priorities.
5. PARTNERSHIP
Providing ongoing strategic guidance, governance refinement, and regular check-ins at every stage.
No two engagements are identical. We adapt our approach to the integration or transformation stage, urgency, and what your organization needs to move forward with confidence.
